How To Care For Your Piece
Most of my pieces are comprised of mixed metals (silver, brass, bronze, or copper, aluminum) and found objects, and will naturally age. The metal may become darker (patina) with time, or it may become lighter with wear. It is my intention for the piece to darken over time and absorb its natural environment, thus becoming more wabi-sabi, finding beauty in imperfection.
If you would like to lighten the finish, clean your piece by using a medium-fine steel wool (not to be used on found objects). Steel wool can be found at your local hardware store. Clean by rubbing in one direction very lightly so not to remove the entire patina. Silver or brass cleaners are not recommended.
