Not many people know about the Louisiana Opal. It is true we have our own stone! LA Opal naturally combines opal and quartz. Together revealing flashes of reds, blues, and violets. By the end of June 1993 approximately 4,000 pounds of opal rock was removed from the area (north Louisiana). Making this gem truly one of a kind.

Like most of my stones this stone was cut by my friend here in New Orleans showing off its flashes of violets and greens.
